Mental Health Champions

Join Brighter Futures Together Young Mental Health Champions programme

Brighter Futures are a team of experienced and dedicated professionals that work on a range of projects that all aim to improve young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
They are launching their Young Mental Health Champions programme – a youth voice and peer-led project for young people aged 13 – 17 years living in Bucks.
This is a free programme to support young people to explore mental health, gain valuable qualifications, and contribute to improving support for others in their communities.

By joining the programme you will have the opportunity to:

  • Achieve a Level 2 qualification from the Royal Society of Public Health
  • Take part in mystery shopping to provide feedback on local mental health services
  • Deliver peer-led wellbeing messages to reduce stigma and support others

This project is ideal for young people interested in mental health, youth leadership, or volunteering (hours can count towards Duke of Edinburgh’s Award)

You can join one of these two teams:

Community Team

A Community Team based at Princes Risborough Youth Centre (for young people aged 13–17 who live or study in Buckinghamshire)

Community Team: learn more and apply

Home-Educated Team

A Home-Educated Team based in Marlow (for home-educated, young people aged 13–17 living in Buckinghamshire)
