Join Chesham Youth Council
Are you between 11 and 18 years old and want to make Chesham a better place for young people? Then come along to one of our Chesham Youth Council meetings!
We meet every month on a Monday to talk about what young people need and want in our town. It’s a place where you can share your ideas, problems, and solutions, about things that matter to you- both locally and nationally. If you live or go to school in Chesham, you can join us!
What We Do
Empower Young People: We make sure your voice is heard, your ideas shared and understood, and that they are effective and can make a difference.
Work with the Town Council to:
- involve young people in running the community
- meet young people’s needs by making outdoor spaces better and improving facilities
- provide more facilities for young people.
Raise Awareness: We highlight youth concerns and help identify issues that affect young people, so they get noticed, prioritised and acted upon by relevant authorities.
Celebrate Achievements: We show everyone what young people can achieve, and celebrate those achievements! We celebrate young people in South Buckinghamshire with the annual Cygnet Awards. Check out our website for more details and other cool projects: www.cheshamyouthcouncil.co.uk
