Chesham Youth Council
Introduction
Chesham Youth Council is a group of young people between the ages of 11 and 18 interested in bettering the community and town of Chesham for the youth. With monthly meetings on a Monday we aim to constantly strive to make the town a better place for young people to live. Our friendly group is very welcoming to new members.
About us
Not only do we take part in and run projects to improve the wellbeing of local young people (such as our Chesham Christmas donations where we gave food and gifts to underprivileged families, and our work in connection with the Lowndes park project at the moment), but we also have fun and educational visits, such as our trip to parliament, and our trip to France to visit the youth council’s of Chesham’s twinned towns, Houilles and Friedrichsdorf.
We run the Chesham Cygnet awards. In 2023 we gathered with some of the most inspirational members of the youth of Chesham to have a celebration of excellence for everyone who has done amazing things for our community. These awards will now run annually.
