Shout Out for SEND Reps
What do Shout Out Reps do?
Our Shout Out Reps speak for their school, college, friends and community.
They meet each month to share the views of young people with SEND in Buckinghamshire.
They also work on the Young People’s plan, which are actions they decided on, to make the lives of young people with SEND better.
What does a Shout Out for SEND meeting look like?
1. Check in
At the start of every meeting, we check in and share our own news. This helps us check in with everyone and start the meeting in a nice, friendly way!
2. Activity
We then start the meeting plan. This might look like, being sat down around a table and talking about an issue, like Preparing for Adulthood, or how professionals can help young people better.
3. Break
Halfway through our meeting, we will have a break for 10 minutes. This is where we can choose to have some snacks, chat with others at the meeting, or step out the room and relax.
4. Activity
This will often be more active, and look like different stations with tasks. And once this is finished, it’s home time!

“With the experience you gain over learning and education, you can suggest some sort of change to happen, and that change can help. Whether it’s little or big ideas, they will contribute massively towards SEN kids, and with that help they will become bigger and brighter people.”
